REDEFINING THE END-TO-END PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
Los Angeles World Airports – host of FTE Global (LA, 19-21 September 2023) – and Delta have celebrated the opening of the $2.3 billion Delta Sky Way project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS) has started its West Gate Expansion project, which is one of the near-term ‘Journey With AUS’ developments to “modernise and improve the AUS experience for everyone”.
Abu Dhabi Airports has announced the opening of its state-of-the-art new terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport in November, delivering “a seamless, digitised journey from pre-travel to boarding gate”.
Australia’s Newcastle Airport has commenced construction on its Terminal Expansion Project to enhance the airport’s capacity and efficiency, while “delivering a stress-free experience for passengers”.

Continuing its development as a competitive, modern airport, Milan Bergamo has begun further major investment, including a new terminal enlargement, as it goes “above and beyond” to cater for passengers.
Fort Wayne International Airport has broken ground on the $70 million, 35,000 sq ft East Terminal Expansion and Renovation project, with the aim of delivering “the best possible experience for travellers”.
The General Plan (part of the Master Plan) for the new CPK Airport has been approved by Poland’s Minister of Infrastructure. The document sets out the development plan for the new airport until the end of 2060.

The Newcastle Airport Terminal Expansion begins this month, with completion scheduled for mid to late 2024. The $110 million project includes significant upgrades, “providing a world-class passenger experience for the region”.
VINCI Airports has opened a new phase of the modernisation and expansion project at Belgrade Airport. The new central processing building improves passenger experience and efficiency at check-in, security, and passport control.
Lithuanian Airports is preparing for the expansion of Kaunas Airport’s terminal, which will deliver technological modernisation, an enhanced passenger experience, and capacity to handle more than 800 passengers simultaneously.
Avinor has signed agreements enabling construction of the new Bodø Airport, with a ground-breaking ceremony having taken place. The modern new airport, with an annual capacity of 2.3 million passengers, will be operational in 2029.
Vantage Airport Group has broken ground on the new $4.2 billion Terminal 6 at New York JFK International Airport. The development will feature “the latest advances in technology”.
Chicago O’Hare International Airport has opened the new eastern extension of Terminal 5, as part of a $1.3 billion investment to deliver “curb-to-gate transformation” and “improved passenger experience”.
Construction of Vilnius Airport’s new departure terminal has started. Described as “a platform for innovation”, it will feature state-of-the-art technology to improve airport efficiency and passenger experience.
Delta Air Lines is continuing its investment at Salt Lake City International Airport, extending its current lease to 2044 and reaffirming its “ongoing commitment to transform the travel experience on the ground and in the air”.
