Delta Air Lines has partnered with Apple to provide cabin crew with iPhone 12, equipped with 5G and augmented reality (AR), to enhance onboard operations.
Etihad Airways has become the first airline in the world to only operate flights with pilots and cabin crew who have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Etihad is trialling SITA’s facial biometrics for cabin members, allowing them to complete check-in procedures digitally via their own mobile devices.
Boeing has teamed up with IMMFLY to introduce Boeing Digital Direct – a wireless inflight entertainment and digital services platform for airlines.
The personal devices have been introduced to optimise onboard sales and communication, while also providing flight-related documents for cabin crew.
