While Apple Watch apps have become a common feature since the launch of the device in April 2015, Jet Airways is the first Indian airline to offer one.
‘Scan and Go’ devices will be installed at Heathrow Airport to make it easier for users of the app to scan their boarding passes and print their bag tags.
The new app, “Ida”, has been developed to enable Virgin Atlantic to showcase its end-to-end premium travel experience via mobile and wearable devices.
From early 2016 easyJet will trial new cabin crew and engineer uniforms, which feature LED lights, in-built microphones and air quality sensors.
The Apple Watch compatible Brisbane Airport app offers passengers easy access to flight status updates, Digital Departure Cards and their car park location.
