REDEFINING THE END-TO-END PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
WestJet is accelerating seamless passenger check-in with the integration of Zamna’s digital intelligence system to verify travel documents. It follows a successful pilot, which significantly reduced manual checks.
American Airlines has introduced passport chip scanning to its mobile app, allowing passengers to scan their passports and verify their details.
The Gemalto high-speed passport readers will provide fast and accurate authentication of travel documents, resulting in improved queue times and strengthened security.
Doha’s new Hamad International Airport and home carrier Qatar Airways will trial the Smart Security concept, while the airline has also received the Fast Travel Green Award.
ACI and IATA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop Smart Security, which will be tested at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and London Heathrow.
Miami International Airport is the latest US airport to install automated passport control kiosks to offer passengers an expedited, self-service customs experience.
