REDEFINING THE END-TO-END PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
One year after closing its merger with US Airways, American Airlines is looking ahead to 2015 and beyond with more than $2 billion in investments, which will include fully lie-flat seats, international WiFi, and more inflight entertainment options.
Air France and Orange will offer Wi-Fi access onboard two Airbus A320s on short and medium-haul networks during a three-month trial phase, from summer 2015. This will allow passengers to surf the internet, read their emails, watch live TV, or enjoy their favourite series.
Airberlin has equipped the first two aircraft with onboard Wi-Fi as it starts a fleet-wide rollout, and is also introducing wireless in-flight entertainment.
Verizon Wireless has declared 26 November – the day before Thanksgiving – “Connection Day” and will offer free onboard Wi-Fi to air travellers.
SriLankan Airlines has partnered with OnAir to equip one of its A330-300s with onboard Wi-Fi and mobile services, marking its first e-enabled aircraft.
