The “Exede in the Air” service will be installed on 10 A320s, while Virgin America will also become the first airline to deploy a hybrid Ku/Ka-band antenna.
AirAsia’s onboard instant messaging package, provided by roKKi, now includes access to the Twitter app, as well as WeChat, WhatsApp, LINE and KakaoTalk.
Brazilian carrier GOL has signed up to the high-speed 2Ku connectivity service, as well as the Gogo Vision and Gogo TV in-flight entertainment products.
easyJet is happy to wait for the right onboard connectivity product at the right price, according to Simon Lamkin, the carrier’s Head of Operations Systems.
