Travellers at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal and White Bay Cruise Terminal will be the first to use Virgin Australia’s new check-in and baggage drop service.
S7 Airlines has equipped staff members with mobile check-in devices at Domodedovo and Tolmachevo airports.
Passengers will have dedicated security access, departure gates will be located nearby, and so-called “racetracks” will provide shorter boarding times.
During the Personal Security Pass pilot project, passengers on select flights can go online and reserve a specific time slot to go through security.
The two automated security screening lanes, funded by American Airlines, are now in operation in Terminal D at Miami International Airport.
