Avalon Airport is set to become the first airport in Australia to implement self-service check-in and bag drop in partnership with Elenium Automation.
The new services installed by Collins Aerospace allow Aer Lingus passengers to check-in for their flight using common-use self-service kiosks.
With 300,000 visitors a day, the 135,700sqm complex, built on the site of the former Terminal 1 open air carpark, offers a multi-faceted experience.
The first 10 auto bag drop units, developed by ICM, are now live at Narita International Airport’s Terminal 1 South Wing for All Nippon Airways.
