REDEFINING THE END-TO-END PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
FTE has announced a three-part webinar series, developed in partnership with IDEMIA, on “The future of biometrics in North American travel – a safe, secure and seamless experience through advanced technology”.
Berlin Brandenburg Airport has introduced BER Traveller – a digital service for biometric access control that is now available to Lufthansa Group airlines passengers who are HON Circle Members and Senators.
Sacramento International Airport has implemented biometric boarding for international flights at select gates, using Amadeus facial recognition technology for “a secure, touchless departure process”.
Air Canada is piloting digital identification on select flights departing from Vancouver Airport to Winnipeg, and at the Air Canada Café at Toronto Pearson Airport, offering passengers paperless, seamless boarding.

Biometric touchpoints are to be installed across Frankfurt Airport, in collaboration with SITA and NEC, enabling travellers to seamlessly pass through each stage of the airport journey simply by scanning their face.
