Royal Jordanian has launched a new app as part of its efforts to leverage mobile technology to simplify and streamline the travel experience for its customers.

The tracking function provides real-time information on the aircraft route, speed, type, altitude, distance travelled and total distance to the destination for all flights.

Sydney Airport’s team of ‘Airport Ambassadors’ will now carry iPad Minis, so they can provide passengers with real-time information on the go.

The new app is available on iPhone and Android devices and includes a flight tracker, plus information on airport retail, parking and ground transportation.

Emirates has released its long-awaited app for iPhone, which includes Passbook integration, real-time updates and flight booking functionality.
