Five new e-passport gates have been installed at London City Airport, taking the total number of automated border control gates at the airport to 11.
Self-service access control e-gates have been installed at the entrance to the departures hall at Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus.
Eight e-gates have been installed at the customs and immigration checkpoint, with more than 3,000 passengers a day being successfully processed at present.
FTE took a tour of London Stansted Airport to find out how the £260 million transformation project is helping to improve the passenger experience.
A total of 62 e-gates, which make use of face, iris and fingerprint recognition technology, have been installed at Doha’s Hamad International Airport.
São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport has started testing immigration e-gates ahead of a permanent installation in Terminals 2 and 3 in August.
