The £50 million full-scale biometrics project is part of a wider programme of investment to streamline the passenger journey at Heathrow Airport.

The In-Town Check-In service will enable passengers to carry out all check-in procedures at the downtown facilities before heading to the airport.

A further 15 SITA Scan&Fly self bag drop units will be installed in KLIA2, following the successful implementation of 15 units earlier this year.

The self-service bag drop system, supplied by ICM, will ensure a much simpler and faster check-in and bag drop process in Hongqiao Airport’s renewed T1.
