Finavia is trialling the new scanner as part of its efforts to expedite the security screening process while maintaining the highest levels of security.

Computed tomography (CT) security screening equipment, an automatic tray return system and a new body scanner machine are being trialled at Changi Airport.

The new automatic tray return systems improve the ambience in the security screening area and allow up to four people to load trays at the same time.

The project includes a new and expanded security screening area, a landside reconfiguration and the introduction of a new passenger lounge and retail hub.

As part of its strategy to appeal to business travellers, Ryanair’s fast track service is now available at a total of 25 airports across Europe.
